*NEWS* Rock 'n' Roll Star, Little Richard Dies, Aged 87

Musical icon, legend and one of the pioneering figures in the world of Rock 'n' Roll, Little Richard (real name Richard Wayne Penniman) has died aged 87 in Nashville, Tennessee. It was confirmed by a statement released by his son, Danny Jones Penniman that Penniman had succumbed to bone cancer after years of poor health which, and was initially reported in Rolling Stone Magazine . Known for bringing African-American R&B to white America, Little Richard was famous for his energetic piano playing, roaring vocals and iconic hairstyle. He was also an openly gay man, which was very controversial in the conservative Eisenhower era. He will be sorely missed, and has left a lasting legacy on the world with his music.
